We can say in simple terms, that electro-pollution is an imbalance and disarray of electromagnetic charges, produced by all electrical appliances and telecommunications signals.
Its origin emanates from the use of Electricity producing fields, with “artificial” electric and magnetic behaviors around everything that uses some type of current, whether it is an AC (alternating current) or a DC (direct current), and grows exponentially with the development of telecommunication, wireless and smart technology; as the “Internet of things”, which propagates artificial waves (signals) everywhere.
Television sets, radios, computers, laptops, electronic tablets, console games, wireless telephones, cell phones, home appliances, power lines, and many other accessories of modern life, create these fields and produce harmful electromagnetic waves. Initially, at the beginning of the 20th century, daily ELECTRO-pollution levels were relatively low; being a health threat only to employees of utility, industrial and military installations, as well as, to communities found very close to high-voltage lines. However, with the development of the modern world, this type of pollution began to grow gradually, as energy demand became higher in every home and office, and with the development of telecommunications to their fullest potential through mobile telephony and wireless Internet WIFI connections.
Relative to the involvement of waves and electromagnetic fields with low frequency oscillations, i.e. from 0 Hz to 400 KHz. This low frequency pollution runs through the electrical wiring in all buildings and around all equipment using electricity; from a lamp plugged into the wall (Alternating Current), to a cell phone obtaining electricity from an internal rechargeable lithium battery (Direct Current). In both cases there is a manifestation of low frequency electrical pollution. In conclusion, the fields that surround equipment and technological equipment using electricity; are harmful.
It is relatively comprised of electromagnetic waves carrying data and information, with higher frequency oscillations, ranging from 1 MHz to 300 GHz. This high frequency pollution is found all over the world, thanks to the transmission of telecommunication signals globally, and everywhere, from radio and television signals to IOT wireless connections.
On a technical level, we can classify Electro-pollution into:

The electrostatic discharges caused by problems of poor electric conduction.

Electromagnetic interferences can be classified into two groups:
Refers to interference caused by signals emitted intentionally, with the only express purpose of producing a dysfunction in the target or victim. They are usual practices in military tactics, as in the so-called electronic warfare.

The presence of multiple signals emitted with different objectives and that accidentally lead to a non- desired effect in a “third” signal.
The presence of waves and fields emitted by electronic equipment during the course of normal operation; switching systems, electrostatic discharges, induction motors, medical equipment, etcetera…

General Understanding of Electrostatics
It is one of the basic properties of matter. Really, all kinds of bodies or objects possess an electric charge. This charge is the sum of the charges of each one of their minimal constituents (molecules, atoms and elementary particles). There are two types of electrical charges, which have been labeled positive charges and negative charges. Electrical charges of the same kind repel each other and opposite ones attract one another. Static electricity is a phenomenon resulting from the buildup of electrical charges in an object… This buildup may result in an electric discharge, when that object is placed in contact with another.
These discharges are basically loss of electrons, and as such, are usually invisible to the human eye. They can only be seen when very high voltages are generated, which is what happens in an atmospheric discharge; as in lightning. On the other hand, they are imperceptible to the eye and to the human ear at levels below 2,000 volts, but even at these levels, they cause latent (partial) and catastrophic (total) damage to electronic components due to the voltage potential difference between the operating voltage and the electrostatic voltage in the environment, if they come into contact or approximation with human beings; who on a daily basis generate thousands of static volts just by traveling inside a vehicle, walking on a vinyl floor; wearing nylon, polyester, or silk clothing; or by unwinding a roll of adhesive tape. Since the majority of electronic equipment’s nowadays are energy savers and therefore, function with voltages lower than 100 Volts, and static electricity rises thousands of volts, whether it is due to friction between materials, through approximation of bodies, by contact and separation even when it is the same material; and its harmful and annoying effects are intensified even more, if the relative humidity is low. All these, affects electronic components during their assembly, maintenance process, and during the repair of equipment’s such as: computers, portable electronic equipment, cellular phones, aeronavigation equipment’s; spare parts in general, components and electronic devices used in various applications…
Data Package Alterations
All RF and microwave telecommunication signals used by mobile phone, connection and Internet access points for Wi-Fi and WI-MAX, Bluetooth and NFC connection systems; exchange information packets each time, that propagate in the environment, promoting electromagnetic alterations in the elementary particles of everything they go through, since they themselves, are groupings of non-polarized and unstable charges. The larger the traffic of calls in a locality, or the larger the connected users connected to a WIFI network is, the more numerous are the information packets being received or sent by the devices connected to the system of communication in that particular environment, whether it is a router, a mobile phone Tower or other communication system. The volume and size of these information packets is determined by the amount of data they transport posted in Mbps (megabyte per second).
At the time of evaluating the pollution the levels in a particular environment, the estimation of traffic information packets becomes an important element to be considered for the proper application of corrective measures, that balance said elemental alterations and disturbances in the environment.
